The Woof Wear Medical Hoof Boot

A unique close fitting hoof boot designed to keep wounds, poultices and dressings clean. This durable boot is suitable for stable and turnout use enabling your horse to enjoy some freedom instead of being kept in his stable.

Featuring a grooved sole for extra grip and a Kevlar interior for durability it also has an asymmetric zip to give the boot a really close fit (and prevent it opening) stopping bedding and other debris from getting inside.

Available in 10 different sizes, the boot is designed for use with or without a shoe. It can assist in a number of ailments to the foot such as abscesses, punctured sole or bruised sole.

To get the best out of your Medical Hoof Boot please follow these simple guidelines:-

  • Measure the foot as accurately as possible in millimetres
  • Measure after trimming/shoeing for best fit
  • Choose the size as per the size guide, don’t guess
  • The boot must be a snug fit
  • If the boot twists or moves on the foot – it’s too big
  • Measure each foot individually – they could be different sizes
  • These are not replacements for overreach boots
  • Don’t measure the hoof with bandages or dressings on
  • Don’t add millimetres to make allowances for dressings
  • Beware raised clenches may damage the inner material

"Amazing piece of kit, I love this boot and so does my horse. Abcess developed on both fronts, bought the size 9 boot for her foot size and thought no way is this ever going to fit her foot even without a poultice. How wrong was I. Stretchy neoprene and careful pulling it on but on it went, very snug and fitting even over a thin poultice and vetrap. Def true to size. I have got two boots one for each front now which were used for 3 weeks 24/7 on hard standing and out in the field then the following week just at night on the hard standing and they made her instantly more comfortable. No rips or tears so have been washed and put away for next time. I'd buy a whole box full if I could. I can see they won't last forever but they've already paid me back as I used half a vetrap for each foot and no tape was needed. Can't recommend these boots enough. Will get some for my other two just in case they have abcesses. Horse is barefoot so I don't know how they would perform over shoes. Kept feet dry in the wet weather and mud, wouldn't recommend for very deep mud though. Best buy of the year so far :)"

"Really pleased with the Woof Medic Boot. Fit perfectly and after the first use was easy to get on and off. I made sure I cleaned all dirt from the zip when I took it off and oiled the zip with clipper oil to keep it sliding smoothly. Used it for 2 weeks and now it's put in the cupboard for future use. Absolutely brilliant short term measure."
